General Function

Under supervision, assist with routine and non-routine administrative support services. 

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

  • Pick-up and sort all incoming mail.  Receive all types of mail addressed to Commanding Officer, Center for Information Warfare Training, including personal, official, command, and guard mail.  Deliver personal mail to the addressee within 24 hours of receipt.  Official or command mail shall be separated for closer review and further action.  All other mail received will be processed for prompt delivery to addressee.
  • Pick-up, receive and sort mail from Building 1090, and deliver to Building 501 once each day, Monday through Friday between the hours of 1000 and 1400.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute all internal mail.
  • Dispense mail on a “walk-in” basis.
  • Provide unscheduled mail pick-up and delivery as necessary.
  • Deliver all outgoing mail to Command Mail Center in building 1090 on a daily basis (Monday through Friday). 


  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Microsoft Word, excel and work processing software skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required.

Minimum Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum six months to two years previous experience performing administrative duties.

  • Serves  as  liaison  between  department  and  other  departments  as  well  as  with  outside customers, regulatory personnel, and organizations, etc.
