General Function

This position provides engineering support to the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC/A4C) staff on major facilities and infrastructure projects across the AFGSC installations. 

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

  • Provide assistance with planning, developing requirements, cost estimates and performing engineering management work for significant multi-phase project that normally cross engineering disciplines and require professional technical knowledge of general engineering principles.
  • Provide MAJCOM engineering management of the project process.
  • Provide construction and project management oversight and advisory support.
  • Provide project close-out assistance and support.
  • Travel as required to support AFGSC.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Drug Screen and Background Check:  Pass with the ability to maintain throughout employment.
  • Requires Secret Security Clearance adjudicated/renewed within the last 3 years. 

Minimum Experience

  • ABET accredited engineering undergraduate degree or ABET accredited graduate STEM degree.
  • 3 years’ experience in base-level or MAJCOM facility project planning, programming, and management. Military Construction project planning, programming, and management is highly desired.
  • 5 years’ experience with engineering or project management support, professional licensing preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience with documentation of engineering goals, objectives and requirements.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen.

  • Serves as liaison between department and other departments as well as with outside customers, regulatory personnel, and organizations, etc.
