TRUCK DRIVER, HEAVY (NO CDL)   

Major Duties: This position is assigned to the Lincoln Place and Springfield Warehouse locations. Operates a light to heavy truck to move items, furniture, office items, etc. to various government and commercial buildings as required. Assists in the loading and unloading of supplies or equipment. Shall obtain receipts for articles delivered, and keep a log of items received or delivered. This position shall be required to operate a Government vehicle on occasion. Responsible for performing, routine vehicle washing (including interior), daily operator checks and servicing, and reporting vehicle malfunctions to Lead Supervisor and an on-site Government employee immediately. Other moving services including but not limited to material Handlers Duties that are within the scope of work may be assigned as required by the COR through the contractor Lead Supervisor.   

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Shall be able to read, write and speak English fluently, and be fully trained in the requirements of this contract. Shall be physically able to perform the assigned work which includes lifting boxes weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds independently but will be required to move heavier with assistance. Shall have a minimum of two years of experience performing driving duties in a demonstrated safe and responsible manner, six [6] months of which has been in the Washington metropolitan area. Shall have significant knowledge of the public roadways, access points, traffic patterns, use restrictions and general destinations. Shall have a proven safe driving record as established by the National Driver Register, or equivalent current record check. Driver must carry proof of insurance card at all times while operating Government vehicle.

 This position requires a SBU level security clearance.
